Renovation preparations have come about as far as they can before the floor people move in and take over. Vents have been stuffed with rags, picture frames removed, and cupboards taped over. We’re now quite used to feel of chipboard beneath our feet.

clothes!

And here is a shot of my bed; I’m just taking a quick break from the mess. Packing so far in advance of the conference (not that it’s far – just next week!) has been challenging. I’ve thrown in the mix jewellery and makeup I have no idea will coordinate with each other or not! What will the weather be like? Will I be in dress mood, or skirt and top mood, or pants mood?

(Well, that’s easy. I’m usually a dress girl.)

I’m terribly excited about the conference. I’ve enjoyed working along Brenda, Veronica, Nicole, and Tina. When I stop and think about how much has changed since this my head spins a little. Time goes so fast. I look forward to meeting some people I’ve admired or considered as friends for a long time, and to meet new ones.

To the people who are nervous, shy, or prefer to observe from quiet corners, or at any point begin to wonder why you’re there – you are not alone. I’ve offered several people my hand for holding and I extend that invitation to everyone. I’ll be there.

So as we get ourselves organised around here, I have an important post ready for tomorrow, but otherwise things might be a little quiet over the next week.

See some of you later!
