Christmas Card Challenge 2009 – complete!

I have just sent this picture in an email to family and friends – and a great many of you people. We tried to take a nice family shot yesterday afternoon (my sister is holding the camera), however the children were in their witching hour moods (yes, that still happens) and refused to cooperate. So I’ve made a ‘best of’ collage; and I use the term ‘best of’ loosely. Obviously.

Christmas Card 2009

As per tradition, I am about to donate fifty cents per commenter, the postage of a typical Christmas Card stamp. That’s right, just by commenting here on the blog this year you’ve automatically helped my two chosen charities: MND Australia (in memory of my father) and Autism Spectrum Australia (ASPECT).

I am pleased to report that the grand total comes to well over one hundred dollars. Yay!

A whole lot of emails have been returned to me as ‘undeliverable’. This sometimes happens because when people type in their email addresses they a) deliberately do them incorrectly (rare) or b) they’re in such a rush they make a typing error (it’s happened to me, and I’ve only found out if I’ve looked back and spotted it). If you fall into the (b) category I do apologise if you didn’t receive it. I do still love you, too ;)

Got your email, and I also think it’s a great idea. I never got around to sending out cards. Maybe I should donate some money saved too.

Fabulous choices though I do say so myself, even though I am a tad biased.
Cheers

Merry (very belated) Christmas! And wishing you a happy new year as well.

I love this idea and I think I’ll borrow it for next year. For the most part I’ve stayed away from Christmas cards for several years just due to the work of it all (big families = bad for my carpal tunnel issues LOL) and the obligation it brings on others who don’t normally send out cards but feel they should if they get one from me. Or maybe it’s just me that feels that way when *I* get a card? ;-)

I like your way much better. It’s green, it’s fun, and it supports very worthy causes! Good for you!!!

Wishing you a beautiful 2010 full of joy and blessings.
