What I'm reading mid-October 09

Judging from the books about blogs and the Internet*, you can probably tell I’m still pondering this subject a week after asking you all what you thought about an Australian Blogging Conference?

By the way, on that thought, I’d like to thank you all for getting back to me with your ideas and comments on that post and through more private means. I especially take the point that if many of you were to travel a distance to come that you might need more than a half-day program to justify the journey. I understand that, I really do.

All this said, nothing has been decided yet. Sorry if you’ve been waiting for an announcement. It might take a bit longer.

*Just to mix it up, the third book is The Leopardby Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa.

“The Cult Of The Amateur” is a controversial book. Much debate has raged about it and I must admit I disagreed strongly with its central premise. It is good to read though. The other two I’m not familiar with.

It is a compelling book. Like you Paul, so far I’ve not agreed with everything either.
