The Royal Melbourne Show in pictures

It was one of those choices I daresay I’ll be faced with for some time to come: do I go to a family oriented event, or stay home and do some work?

In times past I nearly always chose the former. Not this year – this year I begged off going to the Show and so these pictures are courtesy of my sister-in-law.

Keira went declaring she wanted to go on a rollercoaster! Well apparently when she actually stood in front of them, one was too big and the other went through water. That was certainly not an option.

Brave girl

So she chose this ride, the kind with the over-the-shoulder harness. It is probably good I wasn’t there as I doubt I could’ve watched.

She went on it twice. The first time by herself.

Riley and Keira

The second with Riley and my sister-in-law (not pictured)

Dangling legs

But you can see all their feet here.

But that wasn’t enough for Keira’s adrenaline chasing.

Big trampoline girl

Oh no.

There she goes!

In fact, the sky was the limit!

Riley on giant slide

And Riley liked the giant slide.

She looks so tiny in the sky!

I like the first pic. Her face has that unique sense of excitement and dread you feel just as you are getting strapped into a ride.

My heart is pounding in fear just looking at those pictures. I’m not good with those kind of rides.

Your daughter is so brave :-)

What a dare-devil!! What is it about scary rides and the fact they are more scary the older you get (or is that just me?!)

Thanks guys, glad you like the photos – and M, I think you’re right. For me at least those rides DID get scarier as I got older!
