Black Saturday reminders are still in the garden

cherry blossom

It’s now the season for my cherry to be in full blossom – well, it would be in full blossom if the top leaves weren’t still there, charred and angry-looking. I’ve been waiting for them to drop, but I won’t think they will. It’s like they’re soldered to the branch.

New Life

Here’s an azalea that I thought was gone, dead. I was about to dig it up. Now its sprouting again and even though it still looks pretty ugly, my hand’s been stayed. I want to give the bugger a chance.

It’s amazing how resilient the plants can be, when you think they are long gone. Looks beautiful springing back to life.

I have been trying to find a cherry blossom to plant in our new garden, just love them!

Give everything a good slurp of liquid fertiliser and let Mother Nature remove those dead bits. New Spring growth should see a lot of it gone.

I think the net just ate my comment lol.
Liquid fertiliser and Spring growth should see most of those dead bits gone.

our garden looked like it had been burnt – we ended up cutting it all back a few weeks ago.
