What I'm reading, week 2 June '09

The Asham Award is an English prize for short-stories written by women. This book is a collection of winners and well-placed stories from the competition. I’ve never heard of it before, but gee the quality is good.

“Spirit” I’ve never heard of before.

The “How to Write Sci-Fi/Fantasy” books are ones I’ve borrowed before, and are enjoyable, although I feel the Orson Scott Card one is better.

Neil Gaiman and Cory Doctorow were next to each other in the YA section in the library and I thought, “Why not?”

“Voices of War”? Even I’m not sure what drew me to it. We’ll see how we go.

I quite like the How to write SF&D by Orson Scott Card too. One day I might even follow his advice…
