I’m feeling a bit poorly this week. I have a headache that refuses to budge and withstands all the codeine I can safely take. So instead of doing anything of much worth, I have been watching YouTube clips. Yes, fine, okay, Susan Boyle occasionally, but mostly clips from the 10th anniversary Les Miserables spectacular because I am rather tragic.
My son has been here with me, keeping me company, and tuning out the music. However the second I start watching medieval battle reenactments or firing trebuchets he climbs up into my lap and begs “more, more!” Then we move on to the Cadbury Creme Egg ads, which he could sit and watch all day long if I let him.
So that’s us – what’s going on with you?

I was planning to be very productive but have been distracted by the treasures lurking in the local hard rubbish collection. Its perfect weather for it too. Vedry relaxing, going for a walk and checking everything out.

We were all dressed and ready to go out this morning – last thing to do before heading off was tie up my two year old’s hair. And lo and behold what do I discover behind her little ear? A tick! *groan*
Attempted removal. Failed. Took said child to local GP (who were fabulous), but they couldn’t get the microscopic head out either. Oh joy. Needle required to numb the area so that they could just take a chunk out of her instead.
So, plans cancelled for the day. There really isn’t any other job like this, is there?!

I did the youtube thing all yesterday (Susan Boyle and all) without the excuse of a headache. (Had one of them recently though, so I know how you feel.) My excuse was rain. Today I’m trying to actually make some headway with cleaning, not that too much ever happens in that department in the one day. I keep ‘rewarding’ myself with computer time!
