Finishing My Story #5 – Getting a Pet

in Family Life

It’s been almost five years since our cat Katie passed away. Ever since I’ve endured some people saying to me things like, “Oh, you’re not a complete family unit without a pet,” and this annoyed me slightly because I happen to agree. To a point.

Well the time has come. We’re going to our local cat shelter tomorrow morning to pick out a kitten. Keira has already given us a list of essentials:

1) It must be a girl

2) It must be black and white

3) We must name her ‘Tessie’

Back later with photos! Wish us luck!

Oh lovely. How much fun for you. Just remember how sharp little kitty claws are!
We have 5 cats and 3 dogs, and the Queen STILL insists we need a puppy, a kitten, and some fish. Oh, yeah, and a new baby. Preferably a girl.

Am so annoyed you live on the mainland – I have a perfect black and white female kitten that I would happily give you. Planning a trip to tassie any time soon?
