An hour ago I sent the ‘e-card’ to all the collated commenters at Miscmum.com this year and thanks to you all – your friendship, your contributions – I’ve just donated $125 to my Oxfam Fundraiser.
This said, there were a lot of emails spat back to me with “message undeliverable” titles, so if you believe you should have gotten an email and didn’t, perhaps yours got stuck in transit, or is in a spam folder (although I hope not!). If this has happened, let me know, reconfirm your address, and I’ll resend it.
I’m still $180 shy of the final tally on the fundraiser, and in all honesty don’t think will make the finish line. But that’s okay. $300+ is still a wonderful effort, and I want to thank everyone who participated – and I’ve spied some new donations come through in the last week – I know who you are!
So now I will return to my family, and the god-awful Christmas carols my mother has had playing since 7.30am this morning. It’s now 9am and I’m thinking of coining that lovely old phrase, “It’s five o’clock somewhere in the world…” as I go stand before the beer fridge.
