Time for an exciting announcement

I am pleased to announce that I have signed a contract with Dennis Jones & Associates for book distribution of Surprise! in both Australia and New Zealand.

Remember when I was fretting about this lack of representation and how that may affect my sales?

Well, now I can breathe a whole lot easier.

To explain to those of you who mightn’t quite understand the significance; before, if I was selling it solo, really the only way booksellers would hear about Surprise! would be if someone were to come in and order it, or if I personally went into the store as the publisher/author and showed them a sample myself. This would limit me to the Melbourne Metropolitan area (in all practical honesty). Now, I will be on sales lists for Dennis Jones, who have representatives and contacts all over Australia and New Zealand.

See, patience and perseverance will get you through. I am very excited about this opportunity. By the end of this week, all going well, Surprise! will be in a warehouse, waiting for home(s) in shops all over.

I’d like to thank those of you who’ve stood by me throughout this challenging year, who’ve been patient and tolerant of all my worrying. It means a lot to me.

I am swapping DNS hosting as of today and this means I may be offline for a couple of days as all the behind-the-scenes issues are smoothed over. Hopefully not too long, and I’ll see you all on the flip side! Where I will regale you with tales of our adventures at the Melbourne Show, and possibly more book updates. See you soon! **edit: done!**

Congratulations!

I’ve popped over from my good friend Lightening’s post after reading her interview with you, and I have to admit I have an ulterior motive! I have written a childrens book that I would like to self publish and have no clue where to start. If you have time I’d love to pick your brains about the whole process.

Once again congratulations! What a fantastic achievement!

Thank you, thank you all :)

Widdle Shamrock – good question. I daresay once the sample copies/ sales lists hit NZ and have a chance to be read. Perhaps in 2-3-4 weeks? I should ask!
