At the end of my session I did do a reading of Surprise! but it has been edited out here. Sorry, call me a massive tease if you will, but you’ll just have to wait until you order/buy a copy for yourselves to read it.

Yes, I talk with my hands. I use them a lot. I gesticulate. I have done so all my life. It ain’t sexy, I know. In part I was also trying, I think, to mask my nerves. All through the talk my tongue felt it had swollen to twice its size.

Karen I think you represented yourself beautifully. You are making great progress and really making your own opportunities as you said in the clip. You are inspiring.

Very glad indeed you got this up, Karen – sorry I didn’t get in to say hi on Saturday, I was all festivalled out by Friday and had some bad news to deal with on Sat. as it turned out (relative passed away.)

I thoroughly enjoyed hearing you speak about your book. You have a lovely speaking voice, and I didn’t notice you flapping your hands around in an excessive way (then again, I’m also one of those that can’t talk without my hands, so maybe I just don’t notice.)
