I won’t be around much here this weekend as I’ll be in at the festival, first as an audience member today and tomorrow doing my speakers bit.
I’d say this was the last call for locals (or non-locals – Trish flew down especially for it!) to come down and support the Aussie writing community – except that I found out last night that weekend tickets and today’s passes have already SOLD OUT! The case will be likely be the same tomorrow at this rate. Wow - that’s great news! A little daunting, but great!
Tomorrow, as it is Mother’s Day, my husband and children will come in after I finish and we’ll all go out to a nice lunch somewhere along Southbank, I think.

Sounds like fun – enjoy! I guess you’re having Mother’s Day today, since I’m a day behind you. I plan to be recovering from the Queen’s first dance recital this afternoon. I’m surrounded by stage mothers and it’s making me cranky.
