Trying’ to keep a sense of humour

Both kids are fighting over me. Because they are sick, their desperation is of a particularly sweaty and snotty kind. Both tug, grab and yank at my bathrobe as they fight to see who will be granted my attention, and therefore my love, first.

“You now know what it feels to be rock star,” says my husband.

“Or Jesus,” says I.

UGH! I’d rather not be Jesus or a rock star, why can’t they just go curl up and wallow in their misery instead of sharing. Sigh. Kids. Who’d have em ;) lol

Or a mother. As a teenager I thought I would love to be as popular as I became when I was a mother. There were times when I had a (grown-up!) boyfriend and 2 daughters all talking to me at once the minute I got home from work. Popularity is definitely overrated.

Yep, I’d go with Jesus. Because it incorporates the long-suffering component. ;)
