Earth Hour 2008 - well, it was the thought that counted

*Hiding behind the proverbial pillow, squealing like a teenager*

Okay, here it is:

Mind, I forgot to say almost everything I wanted.

Like, look! Miscmum made it onto Google Images first page for searches regarding Earth Hour, which would explain why my stats page went beserk yesterday.

Also! I was going to hold up a sketch I made of Surprise!’s front cover I made today (complete with my miserable excuse for drawings).

(Blatant book plug, yes, I know; but if Clive James can get away with doing them, then why can’t I?)

And! I was going to wish my sister a happy birthday for today.

Never mind.

Tell me how your night went?

I think you were great! Good on you, I would so not be game to do that.

We were at the inlaws having dinner. I don’t think the man pets even noticed the lights were off, they were too glued to the football.

The children were fascinated by the, “back in my day we didn’t have lights at all…” stories but needed a torch and all 3 of them to go to the loo in the dark *hehe*

Thanks for the birthday shout-out, it cheered me up.
We spent Earth Hour with everyone else at the resort we were at, watching The Princess Bride at their open air cinema.

Alas, we didn’t participate. I was onstage at 8 oclock where 7 other women and I performed “The Vagina Monologues.” The stage lights were definitely on. I think hubby did a little while in the dark - my kids really like to turn off all the lights at night and use their flashlights to find things he hides for them. Maybe next year we can all plan better.
