WW - Big Bed Time

February 13th, 2008 at 6:35 am » Comments (8)

The other weekend we set up Riley’s ‘big bed’. His cot is a convertable kind which (supposedly) was straight forward to convert. I had my suspicions it mightn’t be so easy. So we set ourselves up and got comfortable…

…and dad got frustrated when there were set-backs and mistakes: No shots! Go away!

But we got there […]

Proof of my child’s computer skills

February 12th, 2008 at 6:01 am » Comments (5)

Here you go: video evidence of my son’s computer knowledge - he knows how to turn on the webcam. I’d post one of Keira as well, but she doesn’t muck around with it.
My son, though, loves looking at himself. As you can see.
It’s not riveting viewing, granted, but I do pop up at the end.

The healthy eating plan isn’t working

February 11th, 2008 at 6:00 am » Comments (13)

I’m currently suffering the “2-day post-shopping syndrome”. Perhaps you know of it?
Symptoms: You stand in front of the open refrigerator, elbow crooked up on the door for extra comfort, and stare at the contents within. You only did the groceries two days ago, but already there are holes. All the ‘extras’, those ‘goodies’ you bought […]

[Please, for clarification, […]

Yet to me and most other writers who wrestle with their own projects, their dragons who refuse to sleep in the dungeons of their subconscious, it is so much more than a […]

Uh-oh

February 8th, 2008 at 5:58 am » Comments (5)

All day Wednesday Keira had been walking around saying she, “Had a secret.” Which would be okay, I guess, except that she wouldn’t tell me what it is, kept deferring when she would tell me: “I’ll tell you after lunch.” “I’ll tell you after preschool.” “I’ll tell you when dad gets home.”
This was all a […]

Award Time

February 7th, 2008 at 6:01 am » Comments (7)

Leanne gave me this award during the week and her reasoning was, ”I’m going to pass this on to the bloggers who make me feel more worldly for knowing them.” I’m touched that my Down-Underish-ness makes you feel that way Leanne, although I’m not sure I’m more ‘worldly’ than the next person!
Now I guess I have to […]
