As of Christmas Day, the fundraiser dollar target I was running here at Oxfam was attained. Thank you to everyone to helped build a water well for those in need in Cambodia.
What Next?
Frankly, at first I was unsure whether I would run another of these. I thought what helped first go was that it was the ‘festive’ time of year; when people are naturally more open-hearted. I asked myself, ‘Would we be as successful in other months’?
Also, the other fundraisers on offer are much, much more expensive. Hundreds and hundreds of dollars expensive. This would be harder to reach as these fundraisers must be completed within a finite period of time.
And then I thought: “So what? You never know unless you try. You may make it. Just set it up to the latest expiry possible.”
So here I am announcing my second Oxfam fundraiser - to be found at the same place on my right sidebar.
I hope you might all come by and drop a few coins in my coffer over the next year: for your birthday, for someone else’s, for no other reason than just to see what we may be able to achieve together.
Thank you.
