Hi Karen

I got here through a re-tweet from someone on Twitter and I'm glad I did :) I'm a Karen too, and a mum (3 boys under 5), and an Aussie and a writer so you could say we have a bit in common!! I've also been published in Melbourne's Child and from reading your list I think we write about similar things. I've added you to my feed and I look forward to keeping up with what's going on in your world. Take care.

Play away and have fun. I'm doing a lot of blog writing too and trying not to be too anal about editing. Sometimes I spend four times as long editing, revising and correcting a piece than I do actually writing it. Painful really, and I'm sure typos still slip in. Fortunately I haven't had any hate mail yet but if I do I'll take a tip from you and just delete it. Keep up the great writing!

Hi Karen,

You didn't say when exactly your birthday was? I want to wish you a happy birthday for this month generally then.

We have lots in common, Catholic origins, wild youths, love of study and plenty of variety on the job front. The differences are I'm older and my children are young adults (only 2, 17 & 18), I never looked as gorgeous as you do in that photo! , and I'm divorced.

I'm glad I went looking for youR birthday, cause now I know you a little better.

Hi! Found your link thru problogger. I am a mommy from the Philippines, but studied in Melbourne Uni for 2 years for my masters then came back here in my country last year. But after coming back here, I felt I needed to be a stay-at-home to take care of the kids, coz my husband is still in Oz studying. If i come back to the rat race, my kids would be left to household helps, which I can't take, coz when we were still in Oz I realized the best thing for a mom is to see her kids growing up.

So now, even though many families here have help/nannies (which is ironic coz we're not a rich country), I decided to take the more fulfilling but stressful route- take care of them fulltime without any nannies or any help. At the end of the day, I am happier - happy kind of tired, really.

Nice site! I'll keep on coming back for sure I'll add you up in my roll!
Cheers!

Hi, I'm Janet in Kentucky. I found your site through NaBloPoMo blogroll and stopped by. Loved the faeces post. You can only really appreciate that one if you've experienced it. I almost named my son Riley (it's a family name). I'll definitely be checking back.
